On behalf of a well‑established company operating in the distribution of industrial and maintenance solutions, we are looking for a:


Technical Sales Consultant


to join the Maintenance business unit, with responsibility for a sales territory in German‑speaking Switzerland.


Mission

The successful candidate will join the sales team and take over an existing customer portfolio, with the primary goal of developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

The role combines account management, business development and full ownership of the sales cycle. This is not a sedentary or highly guided position: it is a role for professionals who enjoy field sales, autonomy and direct responsibility for results.


Main Responsibilities

  • Consultative sales of industrial and maintenance products, including:
    • industrial lubricants (core product),
    • personal protective equipment (PPE),
    • detergents and industrial cleaning solutions,
    • safety and environmental protection solutions
  • Management and development of the assigned customer portfolio;
  • Active acquisition of new industrial customers within the territory;
  • Analysis of technical needs and proposal of tailored solutions;
  • Commercial negotiation within defined pricing and margin guidelines;
  • Autonomous planning of customer visits and territory management;
  • Preparation and follow‑up of commercial offers;
  • CRM updates, sales reporting and market monitoring.

Requirements

  • Technical education, preferably in mechanics or a related field;
  • Experience in technical B2B sales in a field‑based role;
  • Ability to understand how machines and industrial systems operate and to engage credibly with technical stakeholders;
  • Background from sectors such as: mechanical engineering, maintenance, workshops, plant engineering, spare parts, MRO, components, industrial supplies;
  • Strong business development mindset, not limited to managing existing accounts;
  • High level of autonomy, excellent personal organization and commercial skills;
  • Experience in roles with self‑managed agendas and limited daily structure;
  • Fluent German is essential and required for the role;
  • English knowledge is considered a plus.
