Selection 4.0, a technologically advanced company specializing in the search and selection of Middle and Top Management profiles at both national and international levels, is looking for a:

Electrical Laboratory Technician

for a client company, a global leader in the production of transformers.

Objective:
The candidate will be responsible for the Test Room for the testing of low and medium voltage transformers and inductors.

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform routine tests on production;
  • Personally carry out routine and type tests in accordance with major European (IEC) or American (ANSI/UL/CSA) standards;
  • Conduct acceptance tests, planning and verifying compliance with timelines and ensuring customer satisfaction, even in their presence;
  • Verify and maintain the calibration status of the instrument fleet;
  • Develop the strategy for the test room to better respond to the evolving testing needs from customers/R&D;
  • Work closely with R&D and the technical office in performing tests for the characterization of new materials and/or verification of new construction solutions;

Position requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields;
  • At least 5 years of experience in testing transformers or electrical machines;
  • Knowledge of IEC 60076-11 and ANSI C57.12.91 standards for transformer testing;
  • Good knowledge of the English language;
  • Knowledge of a second language will be considered a significant plus;
  • Ability to independently research and organize information to understand applications and define testing methods;
  • Initiative and proactive attitude.

The ideal candidate will also possess strong analytical skills, organizational and planning abilities, integrity, and professional ethics.
